Who We Are
A student-led digital forensics collective where digital truth takes form.
Learn together. Investigate responsibly. Build evidence-led work that matters.
Our Collective
FORENSYRA is a Digital Evidence & DFIR Collective for students and early-career professionals. We share knowledge, build projects together, and grow into a strong team in digital forensics, incident response, and evidence-led investigation.
Our motto is simple: Preserve the Trace. Prove the Story.
Our Purpose
Digital forensics is growing quickly, but many learners study it alone — mostly theory, with no real case practice. We bring people together so they can:
Learn more about our missionLearn from each other and from mentors.
Practice on legal, authorised mock cases and suitable sample datasets.
Create documented, public-facing work as a team.
Develop stronger portfolios, internship opportunities, and professional connections.
For every member, the result is a stronger portfolio, better internship and job chances, and a place on a team that stands out.
Our Approach
Every member owns one of thirteen defined specialisations, filled in phases.
We aim to finish one complete investigation rather than many partial ones.
One short call plus about an hour of task work a week.
Our work lives in a public GitHub organisation.
Our Leadership
FORENSYRA is founded and led by Gopi Chand, our Lead Forensic Investigator, who sets the direction of each case and approves the published reports.
Gopi Chand
