How We Handle Evidence
Hash it, track it, protect it: the chain-of-custody habits every Forensyra member follows from day one.

Before any analysis begins, the Evidence Custodian records what we have and proves it has not changed.
Our basic rules
- Hash everything. Every evidence file is hashed (SHA-256) and the value is recorded.
- Work on copies. Original evidence is read-only; analysis happens on working copies.
- Log every action. Who accessed what, when, and why — the chain of custody stays unbroken.
- Verify at the end. Re-hash to confirm nothing was altered during analysis.
These habits are the difference between an interesting story and a defensible finding.
